Swedish 3D printer manufacturer Wematter enters into a partnership with Italian distributor Bologna 3D to establish a sales and service network for the Gravity 3D printer in Italy. The partnership is a step toward Wematter’s internationalization, offering the European market access to the Gravity 2022.
“It feels very good to have a competent and experienced partner in Bologna 3D in Italy. We are growing in lockstep with Bologna 3D as our official partner for expansion in Europe. We now have a strong presence in the Italian market and have established a maintenance and support hub that guarantees a high level of service to our end customers”, said Robert Kniola, founder and CEO of Wematter.
Bologna 3D operates under the OT Informatica company and has undergone Wematter’s theoretical and practical training and technical certification during the summer. This is to be able to service and maintain all machines locally. The company has previously sold FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) industrial 3D printers. It is now expanding its range to offer customers more and new possibilities.
More competitive with expanded offering
“We were looking for another additive technology to complement our current offering in order to be able to provide our customers with more innovative and competitive tools”, said Giulio Orsini, CEO of OT Informatica / Bologna 3D.
He continued: “At the end of the first virtual meeting with Wematter, it was already clear that we had found exactly what we were looking for: a compact ecosystem that intuitively integrates into any company, which guarantees professional, repeatable results, enclosed in a splendid design. We are proud and excited to finally be able to present the Wematter revolution to the Italian market.”
Wematter manufactures advanced office-sized Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printers. The company exists to accelerate the move towards additive manufacturing by lowering barriers to entry. Its innovative 3D-printing SLS technology lets companies quickly prototype ideas, which increases overall design and engineering efficiency.
Wematter’s Nordic roots suffuse the company’s creative cycle. The team focuses on balancing user experience, ease of use, sustainability, and performance in all of its activities. The resulting quality and reliability are testaments to not just a client focus but to corporate responsibility in the face of a changing environment and industrial landscape.
Wematter attracts top customers like Etteplan and Husqvarna. The company was founded by design engineers working with FDM, SLA, and FDM 3D printers, injection molding, and CNC-milling. Since its inception in 2014, Wematter has delivered 3D printers and 3D-printed components to car manufacturers, hospitals, and aerospace clients.
